respect, Pratt said, "The criterion is that each country, through certain cultural objects, works the subject of the recent past. Representations, as appropriate, may be through a song, a story, photo or audio-visual production to identify and characterize the period of state terrorism. "

In May, the delegation of each country undertook the task of sorting and processing of these materials, aiming to reflect the specific realities of each country's historical moments.

According to Dr. Pratt, this diversity, which is strongly influenced by national identity, evolution has not allowed a couple of reports of each country. "Not all have gone the same pace. Currently the most advanced are Argentina and Uruguay, but it must await the work of Paraguay and Brazil. "

During the recent meeting held in Montevideo, which was absent in Paraguay for logistical reasons, it was decided to develop a new schedule, with the aim of completing the work in October 2008 to be available for work classroom in the school year 2009.

Around the characteristics that will document, Martin Pratt pointed out that surely will be a briefing, "in which, through the introduction of four cultural objects for each country, will address the subject of the recent past and possible approaches teaching.

The publication, in principle, be made electronically, although it is possible that if funding available, work is also presented in printed format for eventual distribution in schools.

Martín Prats said that the use of teaching materials will be decided by each country in particular, to the classroom work in subjects in which these issues are addressed, such as History, Law and Social Education could also be used in primary education. "What he says is to enhance and complement existing materials to work on these issues," he said.
