The MEC through the National Commission for UNESCO announced that enabled high school Young Day School was selected as a finalist for the Mondialogo initiative sponsored by the International Olympic Committee and UNESCO, aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue, understanding and exchange among young people.
The paper presented by the team, "Explorers from Uruguay", composed of 10 students from the town of Young, Black River, was selected from among 2,800 projects in 140 countries.
Borba Professor Silvia Sierra and the student Pilar García Ortiz de Taranco travel to Beijing, China, to defend their proposal in the Mondialogo School Contest Symposium to be held from 25 to 28 September.
