Currently, students graduating from public high schools do not have with a certificate of the similar English skills which students do get some private institutions. Therefore, the Secondary Education Council has launched a project to accredit the learning of this language to graduate, what will be an innovative milestone in the national education system. Justification

needed to Secondary Education students will have an accreditation system that would allow them to continue their studies or inserted into the workforce with equal opportunities to those studying privately.

testing was proposed for accreditation at the terminal level of each cycle. Being 2008 the first year that brings out the project, started in a bounded in the following departments: San Jose, Rocha, Maldonado, Colonia, Canelones and Montevideo.
