Eight high school students in the department of Canelones 3rd part of Peace Camp to be held in October in Naples (Italy). Teens will travel accompanied by a Social Educator of the Canary Islands. By

Prof. Gabriela Rodriguez, Area Children and Adolescents in the Canary Islands said that since the Commune was a call to all schools of the department, asking them to recommend two students (one female and one male). The requirement to comply is to have a defined profile: Committed to social issues and as the leader.

In Naples, Canary Islands delegation will live with people from 10 different countries and participate in workshops that relate to the Millennium Development Goals, peace, sustainable development, poverty and inclusion.

"We believe they will to be a very enriching experience for them, "Rodriguez said.

So what was the participation in 2006 and 2007, when the peace camp was hosted at the cities of Montevideo and Mexico City respectively.

As said, the boys return home to turn their experiences into their community projects.

Peace Camp is organized by the Catalan Foundation "Universal Forum of Cultures." Has a strong interest in cultural integration.
