Subject For Interview Thank You Letter
Following the many debates that have arisen about the quality of journals in Spain and what should be the content of a journal "ideal", I have some thoughts that I share and launch an idea of a project. Currently
contrast the concepts magazines and forums. And in opposition, especially in two features currently and interactivity.
The magazine is static, is a picture that reflects today at some point and it takes long to reach the hand of the reader. 8s are collected two months after the conclusion.
The forum is dynamic, now reaches near-real time: The 8S had chronic with pictures to nine in the evening of that same afternoon that were held.
The magazine is not interactive, as much arbirtra the mechanism of letters to the editor, but it is a fossilized mechanism, slow and of little interest
The forum is interactive, at the same time that you read answer or think, if more delay.
said that the magazine seems to have little to do, but that is not:
Magazine is permanent, can be stored, their content is easy to read and is lined with "materiality" while the forums have an aura of lightness and transience evident. It is also difficult to access ancient information, a wire buried in the past two or three years.
there other information that must shuffle: the magazine is periodic, the forum is not, the magazine has a fixed signature, the forum is not, the journals can publish papers of some length by an author in the forums this is much more difficult. Disperse
But without the two keys we reviewed the flow in time and interactivity.
If you could combine these features have something very interesting. There are some online publications, such as the shipyard, but it reproduces the framework of the journal paper: it is interactive and is periodic, only instead of buying it at the kiosk is caught in a web address. That itself is free and appreciated.
So the recipe is simple: to make an interactive magazine, but not chaotic, periodic, but not subject to the rigidity of a point in time. What should be
this? We may have the answer before: a group blog. Imagine ... If you're reading this and going to the top of the page, there, on the left is a column titled "Blog Archive", now imagine that each month for which there appear filed is a number of this magazine ... we have the periodicity. Now enter one of these hypothetical numbers ... It would take each month as a unit throughout the month, (I stress it's long), each employee would publish his column (the column of Ramon, the column of x, that of Y, Z) or columns , or section or whatever you call it, so we are free of temporal rigidity, if 8S celebrated on 22 March as the chronicle can be hung on 23 and not have to wait until April or May ...), Since each column allows comments have ensured interactivity, but as this is channeled into the scheme marked articles and columns do not create chaos forumers.
In terms of content I think it should have three parts:
An information section on "volatile" Today, such as photos and opinion about the event in Laredo, to say one. Another
information section on "stable", for example, the editor and place an item on your boat or makes a step by step and so on.
and a part on pure opinion. This part is I think very necessary because there is no well-established channels of User Input now would be an interesting window.
What do I need to get going?
First, ideas and opinions. I do not expect many opinions as already tend not to provide widespread, many read, few write, but would welcome views especially in this regard.
Second, essential, some permanent staff. What is a fixed partner? One who undertakes to write a column with what you want at least once a month and, as it deems appropriate, to answer that comment. It is highly desirable that at least one was Hispanic, in order to extend the scope to the American model.
Third: Staff incidental, write those than a month and four no. Blogspot
I think we have a simple and free technical platform to address this project. Lanzo
this idea as a trial balloon, if it raises signal collaborations will continue, if it passes in silence is that it is not viable today.

Is Tramadol Best For Toothache
is nearing the end of the year and the first anniversary of this blog, opened on December 28, 2006. So I welcome a little looking back and take stock, - personal, of course, what has been this year. FORUMS
With regard to the forums I think it was a good year, if we look at ModelismoNaval in my opinion emphasizes three things:
A hatch step by step, I think this is very important for the life of the forums it is one of the most solid pillars as it is one of the most interesting content raises for everyone. For months, the Hussar was just there now section (sections) of the step are bound and hardly a day that no new entries and input them.
The advent of steam. This is a new "self-contained" but important. I say self-contained as steam, by its very nature and complexity will always be something minor, but nevertheless, thanks to the work of three or four member, the section of the steam has gone from quiet to bustling activity. It is responsible Luis Quintana, Xavier Joaquín Avecilla and especially Yarza. To myself I have a motor (removed) that looks at me reproachfully.
The number of additions, as I write these lines foreros discharged to the 3900 approach, the barrier of 4000 is just around the corner and away to stop a leak is constant and continuous additions. I speak from memory, but I get the feeling that is the ship modeling forum, considering the Anglo-Saxon and French, with more members.
On the CuadernaMaestra, Miguel Pulido's work as an administrator I think it should be recognized, it is clear that during this past year has managed to bring order and navigate in a sea full of obstacles, minefields and icebergs in the fog. Have been cut dramatically very negative practices and interventions (trolls, gnomes and other fauna kaleborristica), and now this forum has won peace and good atmosphere.
This means that the controversy of opinions, the off topics and the high number of interventions, which are characteristic of this house, can be conveyed in a peaceful manner. EVENTS
This year may be remembered as the year went Polop, but in which there were many other events. It seems that during this exercise has been a very promising activity of modeling the face. Associations have been formed that will be spoken in the Badajoz AMEBA Curro Acute our friend, others have launched promising to hold events like AMONAGA de Vigo in the double call, the House of Navarre, the sample of Albacete, Classroom of Castellón Bermudez Castro (which I personally think the event is designed to replace Polop), the ceaseless activity of the Association of Barcelona, the Great Exhibition of L'Illa, and preparation of the major exhibition June-September 2008 events Fuenlabrada promoted by the Association of that city, the competition of Andalusia, the sample of La Coruña and recently AMONAVAL exposure of Laredo. Of the events held at various locations in the Costa Brava do not list it would be endless.
The 8 chairs were held in two versions with an acceptable result and take this opportunity to thank, once again, to all participants. I think the appointment is consolidating and many specific aspects of it are being weighed against other events. CM
It is still the core of another event that follows in his footsteps, which is necessary given the lack of meetings that suffers Madrid.
In short, it is forming a real Modelistica annual calendar of events so that an enthusiastic modeller could practically every month to attend a ceremony for the different parts of Spain.
Lanzo and the idea of coordinating the event as, for example, agreed on the same date of Vigo, Navarra and Fuenlabrada. I think the community modelistic in Spain can not afford that matches the joy in one weekend three appointments importance each of them at one end of the peninsula.
So at this point, despite the loss of Polop, I think the balance is positive. MODELLERS
If I have to mention, from my point of view of the outstanding models this year:
Zapalobaco, Manuel Derqui, for his extraordinary breakthrough in the forums, have won a Jabeque 8S I'm not convinced at all for his prolific activity: the restored, the galleon, the felucca, the Viking and I do not remember what else.
Lluis, the Lord of the Ducks, by providing inventive new things (ducks, squares), to facilitate access to things inaccessible (letters and pieces cut by laser) for participation in major projects (planes Tho Pa Ga) that only with time they will be of its importance.
Luis Quintana, for his extraordinary enthusiasm took us to live a Victory Seekadett and unusual, having swept Drydocks, for helping us all with their orders of "magic items" and not intimidated by new spooky projects: Pilat ... Joaquin
Yarza that not only without him probably would not be writing and reading this, but it has worked to great lengths to improve their websites and support, which we all live (I stress this) also taking the time and inclination for activity AMONAGA . Miguel Pulido
for his work as administrator before I stressed. Up to Agudo
for the work of the museum, where people go and will line up when none of us are. And Antonio Alcaraz
to bring forward all that out.
I can not resist quoting the Chilean model Jorge Diaz O, after suffering a Grade 8 earthquake aftershocks, still in the mood to build truly commendable and worthy of applause. MAGAZINES
We left and we have two. It says everything about these publications. I will not repeat myself or to create controversy in these holiday dates. But just to emphasize one fact: the more ships around the world speaking and boats are not so much. So it has moved more ships more. PROJECTS
Personally, I have four projects in hand models: _
A lugger Breton, San Telmo, which is in its final stages. I'm just working on it now and I intend to end the year.
El Pelayo, very ambitious project that I have stopped a bit of boredom. No doubt the coming year will progress.
The Galez. This project is still very unclear for which I am documenting. Will build a helmet that Harvey has given me. Green. The Galleon Willaerts
. Ambiciosísimo project is poisoning me. Outside
models still I have a very green project for which required collaboration modellers and foreros ... in two words it would be convert this post in a monthly magazine. There will be time to develop ... or not.
And of course, if anything does not change, we will have the 8S'08, in two versions: spring and autumn. MEMORIES
Finally I can not resist reminding modelers that one day broke into the forums, took part with more or less force and suddenly disappeared. JFSebastian, shopkeeper, Cason, PedroAlmería, AlexanderKlapp, if we read, I hope your problems, if any, are resolved and that if what happens is that you have deflation ... the re-inflate. CONCERNS
future I see some shadows dissipate hope I see signs of depletion in the forums, or do not speak or repeat many things, some shift away from content generators, a general feeling of disgust over the magazines and a worrying lack of new projects. Wrong and I hope that within a year we laugh at these lines
And finally, MERRY CHRISTMAS

xebec suspected that this would win but never thought I would. Did not have much faith in him. I thought he would lose in vivo. However, when I saw him live once I realized I was going to be first or second. Not only lost, but gained much in reality.
I mean, let's put on a scale I think that was for and what I think was against:
For:
is a felucca. The felucca is a boat like lucky and input. In my not particularly, but I noticed a benevolent disposition in favor of the felucca to the public in general, the xebecs like, like like pandas, babies nestle, chocolate or pork loin. It is a fact.
felucca is a very well done. It has a high average quality. Taken as a whole conveys quality and in vivo this effect is enhanced.
has been highly publicized, well known then. Has been the subject of a detailed step by step and thus had much in the public draft. Is an effect that I noted in my Hussar.
adopts a series of ingenious solutions and aesthetically very aggressive and innovative. The poop in your carpet, candles, how to ratchet guns, Moorish orientation, the disposition of the artillery, the dark decorations .. definitely a good work and innovative.
I love the whole rig
With all this had everything.
Against:
is a kit and a kit that is still known and despite noting the very wise changes. The latter I consider as a must, even in the face to be voted on if it is not a credit.
I do not like the solution given to the decor, it seems very industrial, I think that ship with the quality deserved more craft.
I have not been able Moorish air, I still think it is a felucca Baroque or Renaissance, but I do not Algerian.
I do not like flags. Termination of hull
is something I'm not convinced ... I think it should be the type of wood chosen. Weighing
one thing and another thought it would be in the first place and without doubt it was. I think an appropriate winner. (Skip the word "fair", it does not seem applicable or the felucca, or any of the candidates "top", I believe that none may be incurred by the adjective).
Finally, congratulations to the winner and there has been no surprise. I was in the bouquet of favorites in his own right and took the tape without doubt be able to unite many virtues and achieving a balance highly commendable.

Help Me I Have To Do Compering A College Function
saw two armed boats played on ANCRE planes, one of Carlos V and one of Jose Collado. Choosing between them is a classic example of Buridan's Ass: inability of choice.
The two were very similar technical and aesthetic kept not too far apart. Both were in cherry and the biggest difference was that the aesthetics of Charles V had seen and brass barrel of blued iron Jose Collado. Both were both voted with discretion, curiously did not get great ratings. I think either could have been placed at a table in Saint Malo and had no tune.
The Jose Collado had worked much detail as practicable banks stern and no doubt the turning barrel and blued iron with care was extraordinary. However, Charles V, in my opinion, had kept most minute detail, for example the famous spiked to ear. From a purely subjective point of view perhaps more aesthetically filled me of Charles V, but this view is highly unreliable. Both were very complementary. They were voted
bit, which comes for a reason both Joaquin where the booths are not like them, I share plenamente.El assertion only regret that I can do both is not were lined: I think these boats will win a lot on that tree and trees is a job "child" at that point in which they are ... I certainly hope that some ignore me and the trees in the manner of America Barceló English chalupas

With Curro always the feeling that I have played in a different league. And I think that is true. The boats and the things that brings Curro are another matter. While the other models do, Curro makes dioramas and the problem is that a model brings, it brings a piece of diorama and that makes aparte.El play last year brought a diorama of the Battle of Gettysburg which is still speaking. I had to do anything with the model boat so it was not voted on, but I'm sure you have voted had been very algo.Este year brought the Holy Trinity unfinished. The ship strikes by the size and I guess you where in the diorama is based and should be impressive. He received no votes because it was clear he was something else, a piece of a puzzle mayor.Si judge him as an isolated model - which I think inappropriate and unfair - you can move some things, I personally, stern I think some "delicate" but I fully understand that what is planned to turn the boat may be worth. I think it's premature to trial on this model. Only you can judge within the diorama, or, in any case, when more advanced.

In the days leading up to 8S Luis Quintana was one of the most interested in getting opinions valuation of your boat, so it seems fair that after my model, other than its own early on to make some personal reflections .
Luis Quintana always thought it was going to take the tape from 8S'07. Obviously I was wrong by much since, but won votes, their numbers were far away from the fight for first place.
presented two boats (barges), which initially had everything to gain: they were beautiful, large, very well done, rare, worthwhile and finished or almost (the finish Seekadett Victory almost finished and the hull), however, did not.
It is very difficult to give an objective on these ships: I like almost everything. Of the things I dislike most are subjective, that is, but my tastes are model errors, for example, no thrill me so painted models (but this is a hobby of mine), I get excited as large models (but this too is an oddity of mine), I prefer wooded models (but this is also a preference of mine), I get excited RC models (but this also is a quirk of mine) ... so all this is worthless.
I have to dig, dig emphasize things more or less objective I thought when I saw live upgradeable models.
With respect to Victory:
I liked the open ends of the ports, I noticed something the "clubs" in relation to the overall level of completion of the model.
the guns, although they are very well resolved, I think black oxide brass would have been aesthetically superior. I see the rope used
very white.
A general tone too "sterile", but this is very subjective ... I repeat. This maybe I can achieve it, for example, tying of the guns would ask some argued that maybe a little more attractive ... but I insist on the subjectivity. Ultimately
four jets and I'm not convinced. Regarding the Seekadett
:
here if I find 1 (one) thing that I like and are the seats of the deckhouse. Those green seats that are not material are made but they convey a sense of "plasticazo" which clashes with the sublime quality of the model. I think it hurt much to the model.
said, these questionable claims do not warrant that the boats did not obtain more votes.
In line with this thinking I do other individuals. I think
Luis models were unfairly (in my opinion unfairly) punished by ... good. You know that I am not knowledgeable in kits, kits do not, but I am lenient with the kits, so it seems a valid option like any other. Not being very knowledgeable, obvious that Luis kits were good swarmed bountiful with the view that "clear, with a kit as well ... makes a good boat." I do not agree at all with this assertion, first because, at the end of the course, what matters is to bring a good model out of which comes second, the assertion is false: a good kit can be an unfortunate boat and vice versa , with a deplorable kit (most use) can make a great model. I believe that here was not voted the most liked model but slipped a moral approach, that model had more merit. If you follow this line strictly a flat always win against a kit and always will win a one-armed, even involving a blind ...
Another consideration is the barrier between the RC and static. Here I disagree with Joaquin that the differences are narrowing, I think they are two very different worlds and that enough time will be difficult for a RC wins the 8S, just when they are out of the water like less because they have to make sacrifices important aesthetic to navigation. We will see when finished bring the magnificent Victor Rias Bajas, breaking the trend.

Free Diy Projects Plans
Having so recently the 8S and having been raised prior to holding so many debates on whether to introduce a rating or not etc. among them one of the assistants, Charles V, made some contributions with which I stayed. Elaborated the idea is to say "why disrupt a voting system if we have more than proven to comment forums and blogs." So what better place than my own blog to comment about what happened at the meeting and the thoughts which I raised the models presented, we will for the first, which I am very familar. Marques del Duero
THE
My boat was the third, I was surprised because I did not think would get a score so high (thanks to all the honor they did me). Do not think he would be so voted for several reasons:
is a very rare model, very rare. Ships are not well. In the line of ships of the 8S like a fly in a saucer of milk and I have seen so rare that the boats are usually not the most liked. The average model is embedded in a series of charts on turning its business modelistic wood, candles, XV at the beginning of XIX and / or living fossils boats (fishing boats with fishing no longer anyone retro yachts etc) kits, canyons with ropes, etc.. The Marquis escapes from all metal, late XIX, no commercial element, waiver of kits with pumps and seductions, little rigging, steel wire ... very rare.
On the other hand there was the fatigue effect in recent years I have been up in the soup with Hussar and the Marquis (and other things ..) so all tired.
So I did not think out big score, score if course, but in a discreet heap along with six or seven more models, hence my surprise to get "podium."
Beyond that, I also thought that my boat was that I liked best of all, but that's a purely subjective assessment and, in the depths, it happens to almost everyone present ships. That said
try to dissect my positive and negative opinions on this model, will then all others.
ME LIKE THIS MODEL.
What I like is the overall aesthetic appearance achieved. I am a devoted supporter of aesthetic program of a boat and I think this is perfectly embodied their achievement. I tried to find an older model beauty (specific and clarified: that the model appears old, made in the early twentieth or late nineteenth century, in any old or aged) and I think I got it in spades. The contrast between the wood and metal I think is very successful.
I love all the hardware in the deck. The guns, bow and in general all the machinery made in brass turning, milling and cutting-off seems to me difficult to see in current models and I think they have a proper finish.
Another aspect which will present the model is its rigging. The rig has a couple of areas I very remarkable, first standing rigging and steel wire on the other hand the motonería.
The widespread use of steel wire for standing rigging on a model of the nineteenth century seems to me a very interesting discovery, I owe to Zapalobaco I found these cables and that it had used previously in Galician galleon. In Castellón saw that many RC modelers came also using similar cables, Kallu friend put me on the track to make a stash of cables in a nearby shop. Use of this steel in the MD seems novel and successful and opens a very interesting way, almost essential in this type of models.
The motonería of this model is considered exceptional and, curiously, went largely unnoticed. All the blocks are hand-made in coral wood, with brass inlaid shield false, your cleavage is highlighted with graphite, most of them have double holes to simulate the step pulley, cold meat hooks and carabiners. I think it's difficult to find blocks of this quality at this size outside of museums (and even within non-current).
NOT LIKE THIS MODEL
Et in Arcadia ego ... As you see I'm not a treaty of modesty, we see the dark side.
The helmet is not up to the model I think is clearly improved. It has a rib which leads to a small lump that breaks the smoothness of the hull, grave sin.
I do not like the transition lines to form the spur, I fear that these lines are not resolved in a perfect manner. Put another way, the line of the hull makes a strange oddities in the transition to the ram.
Although more than one model told me that he liked, I loathe the "checkerboard" in two tones has the tin. As I explained depend on the tin foil is placed on one side or another to take a different tone. This did not appreciate it and no difference in tone between the plates. I do not like.
Another aspect that detracts from the red hue of the hull. I do not like the tone you choose (I think it should be darker) and the general appearance of the paint finish, notice that a parcel is not master.
The elements of the command post poop not satisfy me, I seem somewhat old-scale and are likely to be refined, primarily the helm and the telegraph, it suffers the same defect aft barrel revolver.
I think should have been embossed decorative wrought with more finesse. Godoy said
As well in the main yard 8S was feeling short. And it's short, but that was a considered decision and sought a longer penis would more complex subsequent management of the ship and fire the size of the urn.
I have a real phobia to bases, it seems tedious and avoid it. I think the model is hampered by poverty of the base, seen in row boat in the 8S screamed best and highest pedestal.
I think I'm something both pro and con, but basically these are the features that draw my opinion on my model.
How To Make Watercolor Paper Stretcher
May 23 was the last entry in this blog. From then until the present day I decided to stop publishing. What were the reasons for this interruption? Various:
1 A first and primary reason was the overflow of work and time. Address work, family, daily life, making boat, read, attend forums and meet a step by step was very painful to also address a blog. Something had to leave and least interested me was the blog.
2 Another reason for temporary nature, the blog is a tool and need to know to be used:
· Complete the Klingon war was out of use more or less bellicose of the grandstand.
· Published in modelismonaval.com steps steps at a blistering pace (photos almost daily), had no double meaning here the same, with the work that entails.
• For the practical management of the 8S, nor does it seem adequate space since it is carried out in an effective forum where, on the other hand, reaches an audience much broader than you may have here. Therefore
blog was deprived of reasons "practice." Today this state of affairs remains unchanged, may change in the future, but does not look, today is peace, Joaquín continues its sponsorship, the forum in health, communication practical affairs of 8S is very fluid, etc.
However, the reasons we are less "practical" as well, I think were pretty well outlined in the initial message of this blog, are summarized in a form of expression for the forums is not the right place. A strictly personal point of view on aspects of this absorbing hobby. This remains valid even in private, has sued me over a model friend to check miss my opinion on some things that inevitably happen.
In recent weeks, oddly enough, have emerged a number of blogs, I think it's good and I am not mistaken if I say that this mine led the way followed closely by the Zapalobaco. Some even have done me the honor to include me among friends blogs. So I can blog allegedly caused the title of dean of the Foreman. I called attention to the big time span that has elapsed between the birth of this blog, the development of Zapalobaco worked and the blooming of new blogs, a very long time.
In short, I think I'll revisit this blog, you can always provide a personal views on many issues and not be perfectly clear what's going to evolve, have a voice is always good, so I reopen this road that I was eating the weed.

Long Dong Silver Seattle
had not read the latest installment of more ships. How to buy it directly, was waiting to go through my provider to buy when reading the forums I find that I had broken a very bitter debate, or rather, a list of grievances they argue, argue it debates a few, that is, all messages in the thread were almost in agreement in one direction only: to criticize an article by Mr. Isidro Oliveras appeared in the magazine for consideration, supposedly, offensive.
read the outbreak of anger in the forums early in the morning before yesterday, giving the chance of that morning I traveled to Barcelona, which lost no opportunity to learn in depth, that is, buy the magazine read the article, talk to different member, with colleagues from the MMB Asociciación and, moreover, Antonio Alcaraz. I still had time before I go talk to some other common foreros privately clear. I was getting an idea. Not until I got home last night, that is, I could not read on the forums as the debate went last night and it is certain that he had not changed much. As of today, after all these readings, conversations etc, these are my views on this issue: First I
struck by the magnitude of the dust raised by so little, that is, after reading the article more ships, and re-reread releerle me rubbed his eyes that so little had caused so great a stir. Or have I developed a considerable elephant skin or some of my colleagues foreros are extremely hypersensitive skin: the article makes very little that could be considered offensive and what it says is general, without naming names of course, not a dirty word and so just highlighting a fact that is true in general terms: lack professional path that currently exists in our society.
This lack of career path, cursus honorarium would say a classic, is evident in all sectors and undoubtedly also occurs in model, is neither good nor bad, it's a fact, period.
I think we should make a point of reflection before we start throwing vegetables. Most of us in the forums (we use a) are or beginners or inexperienced. I mean we have a hot head and cold hands.
hot head because we full of data, sources, photos, references to treaties incunabula (almost never read), sesudísimas works in six languages, CAD programs, which I ...
cold hands, for I fear that the models built in number and quantity are not up to much science. And I put myself as an example, my curriculum model is small, barely a dozen ships, of which four were kits, the rest flat plane or not most, do not consider myself a beginner, but if a modeller little experience.
If we analyze the offended group declared work I'm afraid it is much higher, even more, there is a dangerous dominance of kit and in a particular case I know of but pointed out an alarming lack of finished work.
In this state of things an undisputed master like Mr. Oliveras, which takes a lifetime (no metaphor, is a whole life) devoted to modeling, which has done everything in model English, publisher, who made boats to bore, who has exhibited in Saint Malo ... etc, is referred to as beginners who have a wealth Modelistica so short, it seems to me a favor, rather than an attack. It is what it is. Who offend to remove vessels has done, teach them and tell Mr. Oliveras: "eye, I am not a beginner, I made twenty boats including at high level, I won ten contests and I've also exhibited in Saint Malo - under a pseudonym, so no one knew - "Is there anyone who can say that? I do not of course and I am afraid that none of the offended group can say anything like, so please, less spirited verbal. Or is that someone who has, say, four or five kits, not a beginner (or novice) for a model like Oliveras, which starts making the plane? One problem
Internet is that we head full of birds. In that sense I disagree completely on the line who have followed the offended: nor is there reason for the offense (among other things because Oliveras says nothing offensive) or offend anyone because nobody customized.
I think, moreover, those who have offended are not many, just telling the offended and then count those who have not written, as in this case we must take into account both the color of the letter and the paper they are printed.
Otherwise I fear that article was not read very thoroughly. It is basically a technical article (which would be superfluous to an expert model, but for beginners and inexperienced), quite well written and well illustrated, well illustrated, that Mr. Oliveras has made a bower in DM to illustrate I say the gossips that in just over a week ...
In short, a certain feeling of shame and to thank this gentleman, for his article and for his career and, moreover, to recommend a little bit of humility or, if it is not, of realism

Linsey Dawn 18 Years Old
I noticed that these days are fashionable ratlines. Several threads in several forums concerned with these little pieces that are both playing.
I put some thoughts on them, based on my experience and findings.
Realism of arrows in the models:
is one of the parts of the models usually have less realistic. We have a very stereotyped idea of how the head should be the ratlines and this idea does not match reality. When we encounter a real ship, or replica, or tall ship, either historical relic, we draw attention to the ratlines: its thickness, its knots, color, etc fall.
Thickness:
Very fine. I have not found a thick Canon for the arrows, but must be very sharp. If you look at the photos of Victory can see a very thin thickness compared to the rigging. This place is critical refinement of large models and condemns us almost always to be out of scale. The fat arrows is one of the most common errors in modeling.
Color:
Contrary to commonly believed, do not have to go in black bitumen. Go in crude bitumen or a tone slightly lighter than the shrouds. There is no canonical solution in this regard. I go to send to Victory: they are not tarred.
Knots:
In the internal nodes, clove classics. There are mysteries. The problem usually arises with external nodes. The arrow is usually attached at their ends by connecting the shroud tied to a loop of own arrows, ie, there are three parts: the arrow, the shroud and tied. This is virtually impossible to play on scale models usual, what we do is limit it to two parts, the shaft and the shroud, and use another hitch ends in single or double, or some other similar knot. The problem that often accompany this is that there is a very unrealistic bulge at the ends, a problem compounded if excel "tails" to cut the excess.
can overcome this problem, first taking great care when cutting the corner so you do not draw out excess or do a little (before gluing) and, above all, by the method of the needle. This is literally sewing the arrows at the shroud with the whip once crossed the shroud would be inside the table ratlines and the system closely resemble the real.
Another issue is the protection of the shroud in the area's established arrows. It is customary for the shrouds first and last, the end, carrying a small leather or canvas protection where the arrow root. There is usually placed in the models, I put it in the Hussar and the truth is I'm happy with how it was. I encourage it.
And finally a golden rule to ratlines: Always the same nodes, ie all nodes are made in the same way, do not combine different nodes and that all loops have the same meaning. Distance
ratlines:
itself up to a man at the boat, that is the result of making the scale of the model itself a distance of between 30 and 40 cm. Of course this distance does not vary throughout the length of the table, however, models for cosmetic reasons usually make a small trap consisting of go, imperceptibly, shortening the distance as you climb. It's something that, in my opinion, improve the aesthetic appearance of the model and is perfectly forgivable. Never forget the maxim that we do not ship models, which are two very different things.
Fall of the ratlines. In a real boat
usually have some natural decline. This fall. Own weight of the rope, you can not ever give a model. I do not advise letting loose as never occur this fall, but each arrow acquire a ripple own aesthetically very poor. I recommend leaving them tight.

Severe Copd And Life Expectancy
After a few days of silence, I return to duties. Reconciling
Model with daily life is sometimes difficult. Combine modeling, forums, blogs, contacts with other modelers, e etc. .. miraculous, and occasionally are these little absences, which will certainly be the subject of exégegesis.
However, I think it is a problem only mine ... I think it is widespread and even I found detect waves of hyperactivity and hypoactivity in the forums. I mean there are times where you can see a flurry of activity, including spikes in which serve as real chat forums with discussions basted in real time. Ideas emerge, are exposed vessels, are discussed are projects in the wards match dozens of forum members ..
The other side of the coin are a time of laxity in which no one speaks, no one answers, few people passing through the halls, it's like a heavy atmosphere of boredom I suffocate it. Some of this I think is going on these days. There is some cyclical
in our business.
The good news is that usually happens soon.
