My boat was the third, I was surprised because I did not think would get a score so high (thanks to all the honor they did me). Do not think he would be so voted for several reasons:
is a very rare model, very rare. Ships are not well. In the line of ships of the 8S like a fly in a saucer of milk and I have seen so rare that the boats are usually not the most liked. The average model is embedded in a series of charts on turning its business modelistic wood, candles, XV at the beginning of XIX and / or living fossils boats (fishing boats with fishing no longer anyone retro yachts etc) kits, canyons with ropes, etc.. What I like is the overall aesthetic appearance achieved. I am a devoted supporter of aesthetic program of a boat and I think this is perfectly embodied their achievement. I tried to find an older model beauty (specific and clarified: that the model appears old, made in the early twentieth or late nineteenth century, in any old or aged) and I think I got it in spades. The contrast between the wood and metal I think is very successful.
I love all the hardware in the deck. The guns, bow and in general all the machinery made in brass turning, milling and cutting-off seems to me difficult to see in current models and I think they have a proper finish.
Another aspect which will present the model is its rigging. The rig has a couple of areas I very remarkable, first standing rigging and steel wire on the other hand the motonería.
The widespread use of steel wire for standing rigging on a model of the nineteenth century seems to me a very interesting discovery, I owe to Zapalobaco I found these cables and that it had used previously in Galician galleon. In Castellón saw that many RC modelers came also using similar cables, Kallu friend put me on the track to make a stash of cables in a nearby shop. Use of this steel in the MD seems novel and successful and opens a very interesting way, almost essential in this type of models.
The motonería of this model is considered exceptional and, curiously, went largely unnoticed. All the blocks are hand-made in coral wood, with brass inlaid shield false, your cleavage is highlighted with graphite, most of them have double holes to simulate the step pulley, cold meat hooks and carabiners. I think it's difficult to find blocks of this quality at this size outside of museums (and even within non-current).

Another aspect that detracts from the red hue of the hull. I do not like the tone you choose (I think it should be darker) and the general appearance of the paint finish, notice that a parcel is not master.
