COMMENTS: MODELS OF LUIS QUINTANA

In the days leading up to 8S Luis Quintana was one of the most interested in getting opinions valuation of your boat, so it seems fair that after my model, other than its own early on to make some personal reflections .
Luis Quintana always thought it was going to take the tape from 8S'07. Obviously I was wrong by much since, but won votes, their numbers were far away from the fight for first place.
presented two boats (barges), which initially had everything to gain: they were beautiful, large, very well done, rare, worthwhile and finished or almost (the finish Seekadett Victory almost finished and the hull), however, did not.
It is very difficult to give an objective on these ships: I like almost everything. Of the things I dislike most are subjective, that is, but my tastes are model errors, for example, no thrill me so painted models (but this is a hobby of mine), I get excited as large models (but this too is an oddity of mine), I prefer wooded models (but this is also a preference of mine), I get excited RC models (but this also is a quirk of mine) ... so all this is worthless.
I have to dig, dig emphasize things more or less objective I thought when I saw live upgradeable models.
With respect to Victory:
I liked the open ends of the ports, I noticed something the "clubs" in relation to the overall level of completion of the model.
the guns, although they are very well resolved, I think black oxide brass would have been aesthetically superior. I see the rope used
very white.
A general tone too "sterile", but this is very subjective ... I repeat. This maybe I can achieve it, for example, tying of the guns would ask some argued that maybe a little more attractive ... but I insist on the subjectivity. Ultimately
four jets and I'm not convinced. Regarding the Seekadett
:
here if I find 1 (one) thing that I like and are the seats of the deckhouse. Those green seats that are not material are made but they convey a sense of "plasticazo" which clashes with the sublime quality of the model. I think it hurt much to the model.
said, these questionable claims do not warrant that the boats did not obtain more votes.
In line with this thinking I do other individuals. I think
Luis models were unfairly (in my opinion unfairly) punished by ... good. You know that I am not knowledgeable in kits, kits do not, but I am lenient with the kits, so it seems a valid option like any other. Not being very knowledgeable, obvious that Luis kits were good swarmed bountiful with the view that "clear, with a kit as well ... makes a good boat." I do not agree at all with this assertion, first because, at the end of the course, what matters is to bring a good model out of which comes second, the assertion is false: a good kit can be an unfortunate boat and vice versa , with a deplorable kit (most use) can make a great model. I believe that here was not voted the most liked model but slipped a moral approach, that model had more merit. If you follow this line strictly a flat always win against a kit and always will win a one-armed, even involving a blind ...
Another consideration is the barrier between the RC and static. Here I disagree with Joaquin that the differences are narrowing, I think they are two very different worlds and that enough time will be difficult for a RC wins the 8S, just when they are out of the water like less because they have to make sacrifices important aesthetic to navigation. We will see when finished bring the magnificent Victor Rias Bajas, breaking the trend.
